Recombinant Human α-1 Antitrypsin (OsrhAAT)

Alphat-1 Antitrypsin (AAT) is a serine protease inhibitor. It protects tissues from enzymes of inflammatory cells, especially neutrophil elastase. If it is deficiency, neutrophil elastase is free to break down elastin, which contributes to the elasticity of the lungs, resulting in respiratory complications such as emphysema, or COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) in adults and cirrhosis in adults or children. OsrhAAT is derived from rice grain, which contains 384 amino acids with a molecular weight of 46.7kD. The rice endosperm platform makes the manufacture capability at hundreds of gram scales to meet your bioprocessing needs.

Biological Activity:

3~5 mg OsrhAAT inhibit 1 mg PPE (pancreatic porcine elastase) with 1with an activity of 10.8 IU/mg.

Storage and Handling:

Stored at temperatures -20℃ for at least 36 months. It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized OsrhAAT in sterile PBS. Use as soon as possible after opening. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

The secondary structure of OsrhAAT was evaluated by comparing the circular dichroism (CD), it shows the secondary structure of OsrhAAT is equivalent to pAAT.
