Keratinocyte growth factor (KGF) , also known as FGF-7, is a member of FGF family. It is a cytokine discovered in the culture supernatant of embryonic lung fibroblasts. KGF, an effective epithelial cell-specific growth factor, is secreted by mesenchymal cells and its receptor is distributed in epithelial cells. Its mitotic activity is mainly manifested in keratinocytes, which can specifically stimulate the proliferation, migration and differentiation of epithelial cells. It also closely relate to organ development, wound healing, tumorigenesis and immune reconstruction etc.
OsrhKGF, expressed in the rice endosperm platform and purified by chromatography, is animal component free and has high biological activity. The rice endosperm platform makes the manufacture capability at hundreds of gram scales to meet your bulk bioprocessing needs.
Biological Activity: The ED50 is ≤1ng/ml determined by a cell proliferation assay using MCF-7, corresponding to a specific activity of ≥1×106 Units/mg.
Applications: Mammalian cell culture
Cosmetic and beauty care
